More about the black

Let me say first that there is no purple in #1, it just looks that way from the camera flash. It is truly a black with dark grey splotches in it and I just found a little bit more of it in my scrap bin, but maybe not enough… time will tell.

What I am making are sample blocks for my 2011 BOMs, which will all be sewn together into a sampler quilt eventually. Blocks will be revealed on a monthly basis, which is why they call it a Block Of the Month. I will be posting an introduction to this block series, and a 2009-2010 Sampler project suggestion sometime next week.

I’ve had quite a few suggestions, thanks for each one of them.
