So many temptations

How come when you can’t sew there are so many temptations out there dangling in front of you that make it even harder on you? I’ve tried sewing recently, but it just isn’t working. Sitting in the straight chair with my legs down hurts after a few minutes, and have you ever tried sewing in a recliner… well on a sewing machine I mean.

Actually I could sew with my legs up, since I have this nifty little button on my little Janome called stop and go, or something like that. It works in place of the foot control, and works nicely. But the recliner is not straight enough to let me sew, and the straight chair is too uncomfortable, so I can’t sew… self pity party going on here, sad, pathetic even, I need to get over it, LOL

I started another newish pattern yesterday after seeing a variation of one of my old patterns made up on someone’s blog. As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to make one myself. In order to do that I had to check the pattern and realized it was the same but different. One block needed adjustment, and I really need to get at the sewing machine and make up the block before I can write the directions.

So I saved what I had done on that newish pattern and went blog hopping. Several of my friends are posting about some pinwheel party, so I hopped on over and wow… I could do that, IF I was sewing. Very nice… but not now, and I have 60 some other quilts I need to make first… if I was sewing.

  1. Hi Marge, sorry your leg is still giving you problems. Your doctors appointment is coming up soon, isn't it? Hard to sew when you are in pain. Hope it feels better soon.

  2. Ah, Marge -- maybe you need to do some chair shopping and find one that will work with your little Janome.

I like your new blog header. (hope it is still new I read on google reader and don't always go directly to the blogs...)

So, I said I was going to do Pinwheel Party but I need to locate 3 yards of a background fabric in the stash... I doubt I have that much! Take care of that knew. B.
